Courtship
GUIDELINES FOR COURTSHIP:
Every Nation Church Malaysia exists to honor God and make disciples. We therefore encourage all courting couples in Every Nation Church Malaysia to honor God in their courtship by allowing a leader / couple to journey with them. The leader / couple is advised to meet the courting couple once in every 2-3 months, going through the 3P’s (refer the below). The courting couple however can seek for advise or meet-up should the need arises prior to the next appointment. After 6 months of courtship, the courting couple is advised to take an online assessment (couple checkup or prepare enrich) to identify the strengths and areas of growths in their relationship. The leader / couple can give feedback to the courting couples during their periodical meet-ups.
We encourage the courting couples to continue pursuing the PURPOSE of God during their courtship. Apart from making each other feeling happy and loved, courtship can be enriched by discovering…

We also encourage the courting couple to PACE their relationship. The below are some areas the courting couple can pace…
● Physical affection
● Emotional sharing
● Frequency of date nights
● Commitment levels
Besides purpose and pace, we would like to encourage the courting couple to honor God in PURITY. Setting physical boundaries like not spending time alone in a confined space, no prolonged kissing, etc are helpful to safeguard ourselves from temptation.
What to do for the intro session?
● To find out anything about the courting couple
● To thank them for wanting to allow you to oversee their courtship
● To lay down some ground rules

▪ Willing to be spoken into / accountable
▪ Allocate time to meet (once in 2-3 months)
o PURITY, pace and purpose
▪ Purity – to know where they are physically (refer to the chart above) and encourage them to set some physical boundaries
▪ To pray and minister to them if they have not honored God in this area
